Job Description
To manage the staff providing North Campus and downtown Peoria facilities security services using risk analysis procedures that conform to Enterprise Security Risk Management guidelines.
JOB DUTIES
The incumbent is the primary provider of communications to staff, helps manage the training and development of staff, assists in career development planning including responsibility for the motivation of staff to meet objectives, formal performance evaluation of staff and is accountable for accomplishment of group objectives.
Responsible for visitor security, investigations, activities and procedures of the closed circuit operators, escort drivers, residential guards, guards, plant coordinator, fleet vehicles and local/regional responsibility for asset and executive security.
- Manages daily security services duties, verifying work programs are met at North Campus and downtown facilities.
- Oversees duties of escort drivers who carry out safe transportation for Caterpillar employees and visitors within areas of jurisdiction.
- Leads logistics for visitors.
- Establishes programs and work roles to continue activities of facility interior and exterior patrols.
- Supports security activities in plants such as access control, emergency response, theft prevention, and investigations.
- Establishes procedures and work instructions for employees and assesses their performance. .
- Supports activities related to security, visitor management and investigations within areas of service.
- Responsible for the allocation, management and maintenance of fleet vehicles to ensure optimal operation.
- Responsible for ensuring the review and timely delivery of news, events, and monitoring of roadways, collected from media and social networks.
- Works with directors and department leaders to learn travel and visit itineraries to provide the necessary support and transportation monitoring; keep periodic meetings on safety conditions for employees, visitors, vendors, managers and supervisors; provide relevant information about events that may alter the safe conditions of Caterpillar workers and visitors (including family).
- Works with facility manager and department leader assistants to provide information on security conditions for the ground transportation of managers and visitors from Caterpillar Inc. and requests itineraries of visitors to support them with their transportation.
- Works with the security teams from other Caterpillar plants to identify visitor agendas, coordinate transportation, and share security information for the area.
Works with external airport security staff, road agencies, aid assistance, as well as other state and federal law enforcement agencies to obtain information on security conditions.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
- Language relevant to area of jurisdiction
- 4-year college or university degree
- 10 years minimum experience in Security and/or Law Enforcement
- Valid driver's license, driving experience in region, availability to travel between Peoria and Mossville 50% of the week
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, power point, etc..) development of management presentations, experience in personnel management and effective communication.
