Job Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced catering environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, hardworking, and able to handle a wide range of tasks, from food preparation and setup to service and cleanup. This role requires excellent teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
• Assist with a range of tasks alongside the head chef.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries.
• Adapt quickly to changing needs, performing duties such as dishwashing, serving, or running supplies as required.
• Safely handle, package, and transport food and beverages for off-site events.
• Provide excellent customer service during events, assisting guests with food and beverage service.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Assist with preparation of food items, ensuring quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met.
• Support setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, buffets, displays, and service areas.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous catering, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, trays, or supplies up and down stairs.
• A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
