Job Summary
This position is responsible for overall onsite event management, including equipment and food loading at the warehouse, driving event trucks to venues, interacting with clients, onsite management of staff and logistics to ensure each event runs successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general supervisory duties to include but not limited to: event load at warehouse, driving event equipment to venue, onsite event staffing supervision and training, onsite event customer service including set up, execution and tear down of events based on sales and production package, equipment inventory, and all post event documentation to ensure quality assurance
  • Maintains regular communication with operations, production and sales teams regarding assigned events
  • Practices discretion regarding confidential matters
  • Manages the communication relationship with event staff to ensure the correct procedures are followed for the set up and execution of each event
  • Ensures staffing is accommodated for legally required breaks
  • Applies and maintains ServeSafe, HAACP, and Catered Too, Inc. standards for safe and presentable food practices
  • Familiar with and sensitive to the Big 8 food allergies and general safe practices surrounding allergens and how to manage cross-contamination
  • Completes and submits required documentation at the end of each event to ensure that all payroll hours are submitted accurately and timely for event staff
  • Attends all department meetings and supervisor meetings
  • Handles confidential matters/information with the appropriate level of sensitivity
  • Works independently and within the team on special, non-recurring and recurring projects, which may include assisting the kitchen, warehouse, beverage manager, production team and office staff
  • Manages working relationships with onsite clients.

  • Qualifications
  • Must hold a current/valid driver’s license with clear driving record
  • Experience in running/ managing wedding, social events and corporate events.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides) software, and familiarity with Square POS preferred
  • Must hold current, valid California Food Handler and Serve-Safe Alcohol certifications
  • Minimum education requirement: high school diploma/GED certificate
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills
  • Presents a professional appearance, is punctual, and reliable
  • Leadership ability and behavior consistent with Catered Too values: Fun, innovative, original and personable, and striving to deliver high quality and brilliant customer service
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to adapt to shifting assignments while remaining detail oriented

  • Organized, responsible, and able to follow through on events/projects working independently or leading a team
  • Enjoys working effectively and positively with clients, staff, and customers

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
