Job Overview
The Cost Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the consolidation of the company’s North American operations. This position requires a highly analytical professional with strong IT capabilities to streamline processes, develop operational insights, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with plant operations, finance, and senior management, gaining hands-on experience across multiple functions.

Duties:
Develop and maintain standard and actual product costs across multiple product lines.
Analyze raw materials, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing.
Support the calculation of recommended selling prices based on cost structures and margin targets.
Perform cost variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting profitability.
The cost accountant will also work closely with the sales teams and serve as the primary customer-facing contact for costing, pricing, and margin-related support.
Part of the team that review our pricing strategy on a weekly basis.
Other duties as assigned.
Plant Support & Operational Analysis:
Actively collaborate with production teams at two plants to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers
Conduct regular plant visits to gain firsthand knowledge of operations and validate cost assumptions
Support plant management with cost analysis, reporting, and recommendations
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or food processing
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and modeling)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a plant environment and interacting with operations teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently
Proven ability to develop and improve processes
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Process Improvement:
Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of new costing processes
dentify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to enhance cost accuracy and operational performance
Other ad hoc analysis related to the role.
Work Environment:
Role involves regular presence in production facilities (two plants)
Position based in Collingswood, NJ occasional travel required to the other plant (Sutton, MA)
Combination of office-based financial work and on-site operational engagement
Requires effective remote collaboration with a manager based in Canada
Fast-paced environment with continuous improvement focus
Potential travel to Canada
