We are a fully remote team with a dynamic, collaborative culture. While originally headquartered in Austin, TX where many staff reside, CATCH staff work virtually across the U.S. and gather for periodic retreats to build relationships and align on mission and strategy.
POSITION SUMMARY
To be most effective in creating positive health changes, it is strongly recommended that schools and communities receive training from a CATCH expert prior to program delivery. We are seeking a Training and Program Lead who will help recruit and train school and child care personnel to successfully implement our health and wellness programming, specifically the CATCH Healthy Smiles Program. Additionally, the Training and Program Lead will assist schools and others on an ongoing basis through technical assistance and other support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will work directly with the Program and Training Project Manager and collaborate with other CATCH staff to lead the dissemination of the CATCH Healthy Smiles (CHS) Project in Mississippi. Specific duties will include:
Recruitment and Relationship-Building
- Lead the recruitment and relationship building among schools, school districts, early childhood and primary school teachers, and other stakeholders, to implement CHS.
Program Training, Delivery, and Engagement
- Become a Certified CATCH Healthy Smiles National Trainer.
- Plan and deliver CHS virtual and in-person training sessions to build educator capacity and confidence to implement CHS lessons.
- Manage training logistics, participant recruitment, and follow-up.
- Support educators with technical assistance to implement CHS.
- Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to manage the CHS Project.
Communications and Outreach
- In partnership with CATCH’s Marketing and Partnerships teams, develop communication assets to drive awareness and disseminate CHS Program to PreK-2nd grade schools and organizations.
- Support educators in developing success stories, testimonials, or social media messages to amplify their efforts in teaching and promoting youth oral health.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in diverse communities.
- Superior training and facilitation skills.
- A passion for health and wellness.
- Experience working with early childhood education, schools, out of school time organizations, and/or other youth wellness stakeholders.
- Ability to set and follow timelines and balance workload.
- Proficient with collaborative tools such as Google Suite, Slack, etc.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA).
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, CATCH programs is preferred.
