What are the responsibilities and job description for the Section Supervisor / Laboratory / Full Time position at Catawba Valley Medical Center?
Summary of Performance Expectations:
Performs variety of routine and advanced laboratory tests and procedures for use in diagnosis. Serves as clinical resource for trainees, staff medical technologists, medical laboratory scientists, MLTs, and physicians. Supervises section quality management of personnel and data. Performs required administrative functions as assigned.
Education & Credentials:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a Biological Science field and a MLS(ASCP) or equivalent certification. (Or achievement of these goals within 6 months of hire date.)
Preferred
Experience in applicable area of clinical laboratory.
Work Experience:
Required
Two or more years of experience. Demonstrated supervisory and administrative potential. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
