What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician or Assistant position at Catawba Valley Animal Hospital?
Catawba Valley Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented, veterinary technician or experienced veterinary assistant to join our growing, four doctor, companion animal practice. Help us fulfill our vision of excellent patient and client care with compassion and empathy! We have newly-updated in-house bloodwork and urine analyzers, digital radiography, a therapeutic laser, as well as excellent dentistry equipment. We are looking for a technician or experienced assistant with strong technical abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a genuine interest in educating clients. Compensation commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. Benefits include, a full day off during the M-F work week, paid time off, paid holidays, discounted veterinary care, and retirement plan.
Primary skills / requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Willingness to continue learning and assist with client education
- General computer skills such as email, medical records, data entry, etc.
- Available to work Saturdays on a rotating basis
- Previous veterinary experience or education is required for consideration
