What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Support Specialist - Children's Resource Center position at Catawba County Partnership for Children?
Works closely with families who call Children's Resource Center in search of child services. Helps families navigate child care options and other community resources. Represents the Children's Resource Center at community meetings and events. Manages various agency projects and events. Manages Our Nest Diaper Pantry and Catawba County's Imagination Library program. Markets the Children's Resource Center services with the community, including parents, organizations, businesses, child care programs, and schools. Works with regional and state child care resource and referral partners.
Bachelors in early childhood, child development, child guidance, or related human service field required. Must have knowledge of community resources and organizations. Must be proficient at administrative duties, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. Must be proficient at managing social media accounts. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must love working with families and children! Must be patient, self-motivated, and energetic.

Job Duties:
- Work with families to connect them to the child services they need.
- Work closely with Partnership for Children and Children's Resource Center staff.
- Manage variety of databases with child and family information.
- Engage with families and professionals in a friendly and professional manner while actively responding to concerns and needs.
- Provide unbiased and accurate referrals to community services such as child care and parenting education opportunities.
- Manage programs such as Imagination Library and Our Nest Diaper Pantry.
- Participate on community collaboratives and committees.
