Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager with hands-on experience supporting data center construction projects and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level professional looking to continue developing their career in data center construction and technical program management. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating construction activities, contractors, vendors, engineers, and other stakeholders within data center, mission-critical, industrial, or similar technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior Technical Program Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects within data center environments.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities between contractors, vendors, engineers, landlords, and internal stakeholders.
- Track project schedules, procurement activities, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and overall construction progress.
- Support the coordination and installation of MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and cooling infrastructure.
- Assist with structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and network infrastructure projects.
- Participate in project meetings and document action items, risks, issues, and project status updates.
- Support commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities, including documentation review and field validation.
- Track project issues and escalate construction, technical, or scheduling risks when appropriate.
- Coordinate field walks, logistics planning, contractor activities, and project milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain aligned with schedules and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience supporting construction management, technical project management, or related projects.
- Experience with MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
- Experience working within data center environments or supporting data center construction projects.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or similar technical environments.
- Understanding of low-voltage infrastructure and structured cabling.
- Strong project coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with contractors, vendors, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center construction projects.
- Hands-on exposure to MEP systems within data center environments.
- Experience with project management and construction tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exposure to commissioning, project turnover, and closeout processes.
- Experience tracking RFIs, submittals, punch lists, procurement activities, and construction schedules.
