Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage and support assigned projects from kickoff through completion, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and project requirements.
- Coordinate New Product Introduction activities from RFQ award through manufacturing and production readiness.
- Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Identify project risks, monitor progress, and support mitigation planning to ensure successful execution.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress across cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and present project status updates and reports to Sales, Account Management, leadership, internal stakeholders, and customers.
- Track open items, project milestones, customer requirements, supplier responses, and internal follow-up items.
- File and maintain drawings, specifications, project records, and related documentation in designated systems.
- Ensure project workflows, approval processes, documentation standards, and company procedures are consistently followed.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, project requirements, and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
- Identify missing, unclear, inconsistent, or conflicting technical information and request clarification as needed.
- Coordinate technical questions and responses between customers, internal teams, and overseas Asia manufacturing partners.
- Review and process technical information received from Asia teams prior to release to management, customers, or internal stakeholders.
- Support technical evaluation of project requirements, supplier information, product specifications, tooling needs, and manufacturing readiness.
- Assist with drawing revisions, documentation control, product data review, sample tracking, and production readiness activities.
- Support manufacturability discussions by gathering technical information, organizing project data, and escalating concerns when needed.
- Partner with Quality, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, Account Management, and Project Management to resolve project-related technical issues.
- Support root cause review, corrective action follow-up, and technical problem-solving when project issues arise.
- Translate technical and project information into clear action items for internal teams, suppliers, and overseas manufacturing partners.
- Act as a key liaison between customers, internal teams, and Asia manufacturing partners.
- Communicate project requirements, technical updates, timelines, risks, deliverables, and open items clearly across all involved parties.
- Review incoming information, drawings, project updates, and documentation; request additional details as needed.
- Attend or lead customer meetings to provide project updates, review technical questions, and document action items and meeting notes.
- Coordinate internal project meetings and follow up on assigned responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Ensure customer expectations and internal project requirements are clearly understood, documented, and communicated.
- Support customer-facing communication by organizing accurate project data, technical details, and status updates.
- Escalate project risks, delays, technical concerns, or resource constraints to the PM Manager or appropriate leadership.
- Create, maintain, and improve project trackers to support visibility, accountability, and execution.
- Utilize spreadsheets, dashboards, databases, and ERP/MRP tools to organize and analyze project data.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process mapping, documentation review, and workflow optimization.
- Propose and support process improvements related to project tracking, technical communication, documentation control, and execution.
- Support automation and standardization of project tracking, engineering documentation, and reporting processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized records in SharePoint, NetSuite, and related systems.
- Assist in developing standardized templates, checklists, trackers, and reports to improve project execution.
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, Account Management, Engineering, and Project Management.
- Perform initial reviews of vendor quotations to identify missing, inconsistent, or unclear information.
- Support project-related financial analysis, including costing, tooling investments, supplier quotations, freight, and production-related expenses.
- Generate internal worksheets, quote summaries, and customer quote documentation for review and approval.
- Compare supplier quotes, tooling costs, project assumptions, and customer requirements to support decision-making.
- Assist with cost review discussions by organizing technical, financial, and supplier information.
- Support quotation accuracy by confirming that technical requirements, quantities, tooling, materials, and supplier inputs are properly reflected.
- Maintain accurate project files, engineering records, technical documentation, drawings, revisions, customer communications, and supplier responses.
- Ensure drawings and project documents are properly filed, updated, and controlled in designated systems.
- Support documentation accuracy in SharePoint, NetSuite, and other company platforms.
- Maintain project logs, action item trackers, open issue lists, quote support documents, and technical records.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and accessible to authorized internal stakeholders.
- Support internal audits or reviews of project files, technical records, and process compliance.
- Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Assist leadership with project reporting, technical summaries, process improvement initiatives, and customer-related updates.
- Support business needs related to project execution, engineering coordination, manufacturing readiness, and operational improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Two or more years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, engineering support, or a related technical environment preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or technical project environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and follow-through.
- Ability to manage assigned projects, deadlines, deliverables, and cross-functional communication.
- Ability to read, review, and understand drawings, specifications, technical documents, project requirements, and supplier information.
