About Our Client

Our client is a well-established infrastructure and controls company specializing in mission-critical facility environments, including large-scale data centers. With a strong presence in the Texas market and a growing national footprint, they deliver high-quality low-voltage installation, leak detection, and building management system (BMS) integration services to enterprise-level clients. Their team is known for meeting aggressive project timelines without sacrificing workmanship, and they pride themselves on a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous growth.

Job Description

We are looking for skilled Cable Technicians to join an active data center project in Red Oak, TX immediately. This is a contract role expected to run through the end of the year, with the strong possibility of extension based on ongoing project activity. You'll be working in a fast-moving, professional environment where attention to detail and clean workmanship matter.

In this role, you'll support the installation of low-voltage cable infrastructure and leak detection systems within a live data center environment. You'll work alongside controls and BMS teams, following installation standards to keep critical systems running safely and efficiently. If you take pride in your craft, show up ready to work, and want to build your experience in the data center space — this is the opportunity for you.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pull and route low-voltage cable throughout active data center environments
  • Install leak detection systems according to project specifications and standards
  • Zip-tie and dress cable neatly and professionally to ensure a clean, organized installation
  • Run cable on pods and scaffolding at heights up to approximately 6 feet
  • Follow installation standards and written project instructions at all times
  • Support ongoing controls and BMS infrastructure work as directed
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas in compliance with site safety protocols
  • Coordinate with controls/BMS teams to ensure work aligns with broader project goals

Required Experience & Skills

  • Hands-on cable installation experience (low-voltage background preferred)
  • Solid understanding of cable routing and cable management best practices
  • Comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding at heights around 6 feet
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently once trained
  • Reliable attendance — must show up on time and ready to work every day
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced job site environment
  • Must be able to pass applicable background screening

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience working in a data center environment
  • Exposure to controls or BMS systems
  • Fiber cable experience (not required, but a plus)
  • Construction site experience and familiarity with site safety protocols

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience
  • Contract role through end of year with potential for extension
  • Opportunity to build experience in a high-demand, growing sector
  • Work on a professional, well-managed job site with an experienced team
