Position Overview
The Laborer / Bricklayer plays an important role in supporting masonry projects from start to finish. This position involves assisting with site preparation, material handling, masonry construction, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Whether you're an experienced Bricklayer or someone looking to build a long-term career in masonry, you'll work alongside skilled professionals who are committed to quality craftsmanship and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the construction, repair, and restoration of masonry structures
- Lay brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials (based on experience level)
- Mix mortar and prepare construction materials
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
- Set up and maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
- Operate masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow project plans and directions from Foremen and Supervisors
- Assist with scaffolding setup and jobsite preparation
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support the crew
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Masonry or construction experience preferred, but willing to train motivated individuals
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
