Pay Rate
Pay: $47.52/hr All-inclusive
Weekly pay: $1,900.80/week
About the Role
This Surgical Tech assignment supports a busy surgical services department handling a diverse case mix including General, Plastics, Orthopedics, Neuro Spine, Vascular, OB/GYN, Urology, and ENT. Average daily case volume is ~30. Travelers must be comfortable working across multiple specialties, floating when required, and participating in scheduled call rotations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and RNs in surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure aseptic environment
- Prepare and process instruments, trays, scopes, cases, and equipment
- Support surgical workflow including setup, breakdown, and intraoperative assistance
- Follow universal protocols, safety procedures, and documentation standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support efficient OR operations
Requirements
- Experience: 2 years required
- SCREEN if <2 years with strong Level II trauma or travel background
- First-time travelers accepted if 2 years of experience
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- CST or NCCT
- Preferred Experience:
- Community hospital
- Trauma Level II
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics (minimal), Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Charting: Epic
- Float: Required
- On-Call: Required
- RTO: Must be included at time of submission
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per pay period
