POSITION SUMMARY
Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research while applying knowledge of electricity, electronics, and materials. Works with other engineering teams to increase efficiency, production quality, volume, and provides technical support for electrical systems. Provide product management and engineering support to Project Managers. Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to resolve technical problems, think analytically and communicate professionally in a high pressure, time sensitive customer environment.
- Apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
- Interacts with CCC sales staff and/or customers to understand requirements and specifications to recommended application specific solutions
- Prepares, reviews, and provides project documentation in timely manner for conformity and quality assurance.
- Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
- Assists upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist.
- Provides technical troubleshooting and support of installed products and as a resource for field service technicians and customer inquiries
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. At least 5 years of experience working in engineering teams preferably in a manufacturing company. Knowledge of gas fired burners, PLC based controls, HMI’s and mechanical and electrical instrumentation is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Experience in engineering, relay logic, PLC controller operation and programming, AC power distribution and current understanding of NEC/UL codes
- Familiarity with catalytic air pollution control technology and/or technology for the control of sound emissions from engines is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of computer applications including Solidworks, and AutoCAD Electrical
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
- Pass a respirator medical exam and fit test.
- Deal effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people and situations. This includes working to maintain a good professional relationship with a customer who may be upset.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed at a desk, manufacturing environment, customer or project site which may be outdoors. Uses a computer on a daily basis. Occasional travel may be required. Work is performed during regular business hours and may involve evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours worked will be whatever is necessary to get the job done and will average at least 45 hours weekly. Utilizes a Windows-based, networked PC system for drawing/design software, spreadsheets, word processing, email and other specific applications.
