What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founder's Office Intern position at Catalyst?
Catalyst is a next-generation platform shaping the future of retail investing by giving everyday consumers access to pre-IPO, private startup investment opportunities.
We help startup founders connect with the capital they deserve while giving individuals the ability to invest in missions, companies, and founders they believe in.
We’re looking for a Founder’s Office Intern — Chief of Staff Track to work directly with the founding team and help fill operational, strategic, and execution gaps across the company.
This is not a passive internship. You will be supporting the company’s operating rhythm, helping organize priorities, tracking follow-ups, coordinating key initiatives, and helping the founding team move faster during a critical stage of growth.
This role is ideal for someone interested in startups, venture capital, finance, operations, executive leadership, or becoming a founder one day.
- Support the founding team with priority tracking, meeting preparation, and follow-ups
- Help organize internal projects, deadlines, and operating systems
- Assist with founder, investor, partner, and community outreach
- Support event planning, onboarding, and community operations
- Build and maintain lists, trackers, CRM-style systems, and recruiting pipelines
- Help turn ambiguous company needs into clear action items
- Assist with research related to startups, investors, partnerships, and market opportunities
- Act as a flexible operator across growth, community, partnerships, and operations
- Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
- Strong communicator who can write clearly and follow up professionally
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Interested in startups, venture capital, fintech, investing, or operations
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving early-stage startup environment
- Able to handle ambiguity and create structure where there is none
- Bonus: experience with student organizations, community building, events, startups, sales, operations, or executive support
- Direct exposure to a venture-backed startup at the earliest stage
- Close mentorship and collaboration with the founding team
- Real ownership and meaningful work, not busy work
- Experience across strategy, operations, investor relations, partnerships, and community building
- Opportunity to build a powerful network across founders, investors, and operators
- Potential pathway to a full-time role with health and vision benefits
- Equity and commission package to supplement the cost of expenses
Please note: Catalyst is not offering salaries or hourly wages to interns at this time.
Candidates should be prepared to begin working with Catalyst no later than May 29th.
- By applying, you consent to receiving text messages and/or phone calls from the Catalyst hiring team for the purpose of scheduling interviews and internship onboarding.
