JOB TITLE: Keyholder

DIRECT REPORT: General Manager & Assistant/Dispensary Manager

PAY RATE: $23/hr

JOB STATUS: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY: As a part of our retail team, a Keyholder is responsible for creating the customer experience that accurately reflects and promotes our core values while building and maintaining strong relationships with the rest of the staff and driving sales through outstanding services. The ideal Keyholder will help lead the retail teams to deliver exceptional service by meeting our customers’ needs, exceeding expectations and demonstrating exceptional knowledge of products. The Keyholder will assist store leaders by supervising all employees, overseeing sales, merchandising, customer service, and performing all operational functions, such as opening and closing the store. Catalyst strongly values developing our staff and promoting from within; the Keyholder reports to the Dispensary/Assistant Manager and General Manager.

OPERATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities in the store and daily activities of the associates while ensuring all are engaged in promoting our values and selling products that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations.
  • Lead by example to meet and/or exceed personal sales and KPI goals while supporting the sales team to do the same
  • Ensure that all budtenders stay up to date with product knowledge, promotions, and in-store events
  • Encourage sales growth by generating excitement among the store team around new products and services
  • Ensure that all customer issues or concerns have been attended to with a resolution that has a positive impact on the customer experience and store sales
  • Create a positive experience for each customer while fostering a culture of trust and empowerment that drives each employee’s engagement
  • Assist store managers by providing ongoing feedback to the sales team to help improve financial performance, customer experience, and employee experience
  • Lead store operations by maintaining visual merchandising standards, backroom standards, inventory accuracy, low shrinkage, updated displays, and promotional signage
  • Ensure employees understand operational excellence standards, hold the team accountable to maintain consistency in foundational excellence of the store
  • Responsible for securing the facility according to stores established closing procedures
  • Responsible for end of night cash handling and reporting
  • Manages inventory as required: assist with the receiving, storage, and audit of all inventory both in the POS and in METRC. Works with peers to resolve all inventory discrepancies. Ensures proper inspection of all incoming products for quality and compliance.
  • Experienced and accurate in both receiving and intake procedures (METRC POS) and has the ability to train any and all incoming inventory management team members
  • Print and review manifest and packages prior to delivery to ensure bin labels are completed
  • Oversee and perform monthly inventory counts based on company requirements
  • Maintain vault organization up to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Previous retail/customer service experience; cannabis sales experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background/Live Scan check if necessary
  • Must adhere to Employee Handbook policies
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale cashier systems and have cash handling skills
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand for extended periods of time, stoop, crouch, reach, & lift heavy objects

  • Prior leadership customer service experience in retail, hospitality or cannabis industry is a plus
