Overview
The Data Entry Clerk will report directly to the Senior Accountant and provide support primarily to the accounting function. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to assist with maintaining accurate financial and administrative records. As a representative of the accounting department, the Data Entry Clerk should demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal staff and external contacts. The role also encourages contributing ideas to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness within the accounting and finance processes.
Duties
- Process invoices as they come in, allocating to the correct property using the correct GL Account.
- Assist the Accountants as needed with weekly check runs, mail sorting and email requests from vendors, property managers, or regional managers
- ·All communications are a representation of the company and must be articulate, comprehensible in content and spell/ grammar checked.
- Occasionally travel off-site to deliver files and reports, mail out’s including but not limited to FedEx for payroll checks and employee uniforms.
- Ensure billbacks are completed monthly for company incurred expenses
- Assist on special projects with various employees as requested, including the CEO.
Skills
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Experience with data entry, filing, and clerical tasks within an office setting or similar environment
- Basic math skills for data verification and calculations
- Previous administrative or clerical experience that highlights attention to detail and reliability
