Schedule: Monday – Friday, Daylight Shift
Responsibilities
- Preparation of patients for cardiac stress testing procedure.
- Provide patients with information about the test and answer any questions related to the procedure.
- Obtain patient history and record in the EMR or PACS system.
- Assess patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respirations, lung sounds.
- Assist with patient positioning and monitor for comfort, safety, and post-stress recovery.
- Prepare imaging room and ensure equipment is clean and functional for daily operations.
- Assist with data entry into PACS software.
- Work closely with nuclear medicine technologists, cardiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to optimize patient flow.
- Relay critical information regarding patient condition or equipment concerns.
- Participate in continuing education and training related to cardiac imaging and safety.
- Monitor patients through 12 lead EKG stress testing.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing consistent and excellent customer service and patient care at all times.
- Travel to client sites as scheduled.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or EKG/Cardiovascular Technician program
- One year of experience working in a clinical setting
- Ability to lift and assist patients on and off the camera
- Ability to push medical equipment as a team
- Valid Driver’s License
- Active BLS Certification
Working Conditions:
Work is performed at outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician offices with moderate to high patient volume. Team members must travel in all weather conditions in a company van.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for periods of time.
- Walking, stooping, turning, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Occupational Exposure:
There is limited radiation exposure during nuclear medicine procedures when proper protocol is followed. Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employees are required to use protective equipment.
