Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and specialized subjects such as Montessori or early intervention programs.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children's emotional well-being.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special needs or those requiring additional support in early childhood education or daycare settings.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal observations; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Engage in classroom management to maintain discipline and foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating innovative teaching techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Incorporate hands-on activities, tutoring sessions, and physical education to enhance overall child welfare and development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other relevant documentation in compliance with school policies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and special education strategies such as Montessori or preschool experience.
- Proven classroom management skills to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively with children of different ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Experience working with students requiring early intervention or behavioral support; familiarity with child welfare standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, tutoring, standardized testing preparation, and classroom experience in daycare or private school settings.
