The Pharmaceutical Development group at Catalent is responsible for product innovation, development, process refinement and improvement. This means everything to developing prototype formulation batches to in-process testing and the packaging of prototype stability supplies. What we do is vital to achieve Catalent’s future growth strategy and maintain relevance within the pharmaceutical/biotech market.

The Role:

• Performing physical characterization of excipients and APIs
• Assisting with the manufacture of prototype formulation batches
• Conducting in-process testing as necessary
• Packaging prototype stability supplies as necessary
• Maintaining documentation in accordance with good documentation practices and Pharmaceutical cGMP compliance
• Learning the functional use of various Pharmaceutical Lab equipment and instruments
• Ensuring 5S standards are met and maintained
• Ensuring that all Catalent safety procedures are followed in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Identifying and communicating adjustments to address potential safety concerns through the appropriate channels
• Ensuring the proper use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
• Establishing clear communication to supervisor about project updates, etc.

The Candidate:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be an undergraduate student in biology, chemistry, mathematics or engineering or health sciences related field of study
• Eligible to legally work in the United States
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-12-week period over the summer
