Oral Surgery Office seeking a full time oral surgery assistant with experience
Responsibilities:
- Assist oral surgeon during a variety of procedures including tooth extractions, dental implants, and bone grafting
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
- Monitor and assist with patient sedation and post-operative care
- Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans as needed
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions and answer procedural questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in practice management software
- Collaborate with front office staff to ensure seamless patient flow and scheduling
Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience required; oral surgery or surgical assisting experience strongly preferred
- CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Experience with IV sedation monitoring and surgical protocols preferred
- Proficiency with dental X-rays and dental software
- Strong chairside manner with a calm, compassionate approach to patient care
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
