The Product Support Solution Specialist is responsible for leading the sales growth initiatives within the product support sales organization. Helps to develop strategic goals to achieve set growth parameters that align with commodity, regional, and customer specific targets. Facilitate customer training and education events (in person and virtually) to drive value and the customer experience. Act as a liaison between management, sales, customers and Caterpillar to align goals with performance objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Leads the development and execution of the “product” strategy within the dealership.
- Provides expertise to develop and execute the strategy for the product and aligns with senior leadership.
- Leads with Product Support Managers to deliver the sales targets for the PSSRs and ISRs.
- Leads with Product Support Managers to evaluate all facets related to achieving sales growth targets – customer targets, inventory, marketing, sales/revenue, etc.
- Develops commercial offerings based on critical customer requirements via target markets and evaluates program effectiveness based on sales results.
- Develops dealer personnel training plans by assessing dealer sales team developmental needs (Basic, Intermediate & Advanced).
- Single Point of Contact to Caterpillar – Product, Training, Merchandising, VOC/VOD.
- Leverages analytics to identify & define highest growth opportunities and set targeted customer segments / product customer segments and/or solutions for growth.
- Defines and aligns the Sales to Users (STU), Revenue & POPS targets by product with the Product Support leadership team.
- Develops deep understanding of competitive landscape by visiting customers in targeted markets.
- Develops expertise in product (via training, research, NPI, customer visits, etc.).
- Develops, validates and deploys the commercial offerings based on Critical Customer Requirements.
- Coordinates with Inventory Control Manager for inventory recommendations.
- Assesses Cap & Cap to identify any impediments to execution plan.
- Develops targeted customer list with Key Account Managers and deploys to sales team.
- Coordinates with Product Support Manager on Sales calls planning and coverage by territory and by channel (PSSR or ISR).
- Leads the effort to represent product at dealer and industry customer events.
- Develops the training plan, materials and schedule.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and interpret written, verbal, and diagram instructions and memos.
- Excellent listening skills to absorb information and apply lessons-learned from customer feedback.
- Strong cooperative attitude to encourage and facilitate relationships with other employees and customers.
- Driven, ambitious, goal-setting and achieving outlook to establish and pursue goals, including calculated risks.
