What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Cat Sitter (Home Visits) position at Cat Sitters of Houston LLC?
We're looking for caring, responsible individuals to join our professional cat care team. As a Cat Sitter, you'll travel to clients' homes to provide personalized care for their cats while their owners are away. Your visits will help ensure each cat remains comfortable, healthy, and well cared for, while giving pet owners peace of mind.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has practical experience caring for cats, and takes pride in following detailed care instructions.
Experience giving medications or caring for senior or special-needs cats is beneficial but not required.
What You'll Do
- Visit clients' homes according to your scheduled appointments
- Feed cats and replenish fresh water based on each pet's care plan
- Clean and maintain litter boxes and feeding areas
- Administer prescribed medications when required, including oral and topical treatments
- Observe each cat's health, behavior, and overall condition during every visit
- Record visit notes and send updates through our mobile app
- Follow client instructions and company care standards
- Report any concerns or unusual observations promptly
What We're Looking For
- Experience caring for cats in a personal or professional setting
- Medication administration experience is preferred
- Experience with senior cats or cats requiring special care is an advantage
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working alone and traveling between client homes
- Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Willingness to work some weekends and holidays
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and visit reports
- Ability to successfully complete our hiring and screening process
