Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for running reports, updating our ERP system (EPICOR), and scheduling trucks for pick-ups. This position will be in constant communication with Production and customer service via email and phone with customers/shipping companies to arrange shipments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Input finished products daily and send out a report covering upcoming shipments.
- Communicate with customer service to arrange shipments.
- Input customer information and use of portals as needed to ship customer orders.
- Assist in picking items to be ship in the morning after report is complete.
- Inventory weekly performed as required for maintaining stocking quantities.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Must be able to report to as scheduled and on time.
- Other duties may be assign.
Skills and/or Competencies:
- Previous experience a plus in data entry, shipping, and inventory
- Familiar with the receiving process and stock deliveries.
- Familiar with and able to interpret packing slips.
- Generate UPS, FedEx, and DHL shipping labels.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to use a pallet jack if needed.
- Self-motivated professional with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow all company policies related to safety and job performance.
- Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- ERP experience a must; EPICOR a plus. Typing skills
- Team player.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
