The Caswood Group is recruiting Registered Nurses for several Long-Term Openings at a local Elementary, Middle and High schools. This is for registered nurses only and is an agency position.
Caswood is seeking Registered Nursing candidates for a long-term position as a school nurse beginning immediately. The school nurse will be responsible for the provision and coordination of school health services for students and staff at the School. Must be available all School Days.
SCHOOL NURSE QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the field of nursing
- Current New York State license as a registered Professional Nurse
- Pediatric Experience, and/or school nursing
- Possesses professional role-modeling, communication, cultural competence, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of school nursing procedures and services, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality are expected
SCHOOL NURSE DUTIES:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining student health, and immunization records
- Conducting various medical screenings
- Working with the building team to address health-related needs that impact learning
- Supervising the health office staff
