The Position – Chocolate sales, drink preparation, chocolate bar wrapping.
Castronovo Chocolate is an award-winning chocolate maker with retail sales as well as mail-order sales worldwide. Our work supports rainforest conservation, ethical cacao sourcing, and indigenous partnerships. Each chocolate bar tells a story of preservation and purpose. We are looking for a friendly, people-oriented front counter sales person. Experience as a barista, fine food or wine sales experience is preferred. Responsibilities include sharing knowledge on our fine-flavor chocolate and communicating our sustainability vision and how it relates to our cacao bean origins.

The focus of the position is tending to customers, helping them decide on chocolate purchases. You will be interacting with many mature customers, so professionalism, patience and maturity are essential. You will be wrapping chocolate bars when not attending to customers. We may also train you to help out with making chocolate bars, confections, cookies, brownies, and biscotti.
Location & Work Environment
- Downtown Stuart, Florida
- Pay – $15, or commensurate with experience plus tips
- Candidate with exceptional experience may be paid more
- Workweek – Part-time hours including Saturdays
- Uniform – chef coat, hat, clean outfit on a daily basis
Responsibilities
- Tend to customers
- Assist with packaging
- Assist with customer service – cash/credit sales, making drinks/coffee and packaging truffles
- Clean molds, utensils/dishes, and workspace throughout the day
- Share end-of-day cleanup tasks
- Adhere to food safety, sanitary, personal hygiene, and health standards
If you are interested, you may also help with the following:
- Assist with chocolate making tasks including sorting cacao beans, roasting, and tempering chocolate bars, and pouring out the chocolate grinder (training will be provided)
- Produce confections such as caramels, toffee, bark, cookies, brownies, biscotti, and marshmallows

- Ability to work well on a team, while also being self-motivated and having initiative
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting high standards
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects (up to 40 lbs)
