Job Summary
The job of Paraprofessional - Mild/Moderate & Moderate/Severe is done for the purpose/s of assisting teaching personnel in the supervision, instruction, and positive support of learning of assigned students; monitoring students during classroom and non-classroom times; providing for special health care needs; developing students’ daily living and behavioral skills and assisting with record keeping, material production and other non-instructional activities. Requirements / Qualifications
Paraprofessionals are required by the NCLB to be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to, assist with instruction, reading/language arts, and mathematics, either by possessing an Associate’s Degree or Higher, or 48 Semester College Units, or passing a minimum proficiency exam. CPR/First Aid Certifications
