Schedule: Day shift 10am to 6pm
Setting: Private residence in Moline, Illinois
Requirements: Current RN or LPN license
Job Summary: In-Home Pediatric Nurse (RN/LPN)
This pediatric home-care opportunity involves supporting a young child with Down Syndrome, Autism, and a G-tube. The child requires attentive supervision and consistent safety measures. Communication is primarily through American Sign Language (ASL). The child benefits greatly from routine, structure, and predictable caregiving. Activities of daily living (ADLs) can be challenging and require patient, hands-on support.
The family is highly cautious about exposure to germs, crowds, and illness, and seeks a nurse who can maintain a clean, low-risk environment while providing engaging, structured care. The ideal nurse is comfortable using ASL, skilled at redirection, and able to interact in ways that support behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs.
Hours are flexible, with a preferred schedule of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the family is open to both weekday and weekend coverage.
Requirements:
Current Illinois RN or LPN license
CPR required (Castor is able to assist with internal certification if needed)
Pediatric or young adult experience preferred (but not required)

Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care according to the care plan
Monitor health status, track vital signs, and administer medications/treatments
Collaborate with family and care team to ensure the best outcomes
Maintain accurate charting and documentation
