Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate LPN or RN to provide in-home nursing care for an older teenager with a tracheostomy, ventilator support, and supplemental oxygen. This role includes monitoring respiratory status, managing equipment, and delivering skilled, patient-centered care in a home environment. The nurse will help ensure safety, comfort, and continuity of care, allowing the patient to thrive at home.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care according to the care plan
- Monitor health status, track vital signs, and administer medications/treatments
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation
Requirements:
- Current Illinois RN or LPN license
- CPR required (Castor is able to assist with internal certification if needed)
- Pediatric or young adult experience preferred (but not required)
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient-centered approach
- New graduates welcome - comprehensive training provided for trach, vents, G/J tubes, and more through internal skills lab.
