You will play a key role in keeping our DME operations running efficiently while helping patients receive the equipment they need.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist patient walk-ins, providing excellent customer service and product support
- Coordinate and manage the intake process for DME orders, ensuring all documentation and authorizations are complete
- Process orders for medical equipment and supplies accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, and providers regarding equipment needs, order status, and delivery timelines
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a professional and patient-focused manner
- Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and required documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment
- Track orders, shipments, and inventory levels, ensuring availability of supplies
- Assist with scheduling deliveries, equipment fittings, and patient appointments
- Support general office operations and help improve workflow efficiency within the department
- Strong customer service and communication skills (front desk or patient-facing experience preferred)
- Experience in DME, medical office, healthcare administration, or similar setting is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with patients in person, over the phone, and electronically
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and/or EHR systems preferred
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
