What You’ll Do
As a Water Heater Selling Technician, you’ll serve as both a hands-on technician and trusted sales advisor, selling and installing water heater solutions in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Recommend and sell replacement water heaters, filtration systems, and related upgrades during service calls
- Close sales by presenting options, pricing, and value clearly and confidently
- Install gas, electric, and tankless water heaters in compliance with safety and code requirements
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and maintenance
- Use AI-powered sales coaching tools to review calls and sharpen selling skills
- Educate customers on energy efficiency, performance, and long-term value
- Maintain truck inventory, complete documentation, and keep clean job sites
- Coordinate with dispatch and installers to ensure timely job completion
- Work overtime as needed due to the emergency nature of water heater services
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Sales experience preferred—you’re comfortable presenting options and asking for the sale
- At least 1 year of relevant field experience (plumbing background preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs and performing field work
- Coachable, growth-minded, and open to feedback
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per company policy
