What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Castleberry Veterinary Hospital?
Castleberry Veterinary Hospital is a fast-growing 1-doctor practice in the city of Cumming, GA, just north of Atlanta. We are looking for individuals that have at least 2-years of experience.
Job Requirements:
- Provides animal care by determining animal requirements.
- Assists during operations.
- Maintains supplies and equipment.
- Maintains records.
- Completes laboratory tests and studies and diagnostic imaging.
- Takes vital signs and collects samples.
- Supports animal examinations by assembling required supplies and instruments.
- Explains animal status to owners.
- Prepares surgery table instruments.
- Maintains sterile conditions.
- Obtains and verifies medications.
- Cleans animal cages and equipment
- Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, and complying with legal regulations.
- Answer client questions and concerns.
- Run end of day reports.
CVH is offering a full time schedule working open to close 8-6pm. 2 Saturdays (alternating) a month is required. Employee discounts are available.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
