Overview
Join our high end cabinet shop as a Cabinet Finisher and bring expert craftsmanship to the finishing phase of custom cabinetry projects. In this role, you will transform cabinet components into high-quality finished products that meet precise specifications. Your attention to detail, skilled use of hand and power tools, and knowledge of finishing techniques will ensure each piece exceeds client expectations.
Duties
- Apply finishes such as staining, painting, sealing, and varnishing to cabinets and related woodwork with precision and consistency
- Sand and prepare surfaces to achieve a smooth, flawless finish that enhances the natural beauty of wood or applied coatings
- Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards
- Use hand tools and power tools for detailed finishing tasks including trimming, caulking, and touch-ups
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, safely handling materials and disposal of waste according to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinet finishing.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., brushes, power tools (e.g., sanders, sprayers), and finishing equipment.
- Familiarity with various finishes including stains, paints, lacquers.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to finishing processes
- Excellent attention to detail with an eye for quality craftsmanship in every project.
