Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Techs and Fitters to join the Castle Team! These roles are crucial in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems within various facilities and job sites throughout Maryland, DC, Northern Virginia and Southern PA areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be familiar with industry codes and practices. These positions involve the service, inspection and/or installation of wet and dry sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and their related components requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install or Service of fire sprinkler piping systems according to construction plans, schematics, and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret system layouts and specifications as needed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and other industry equipment for service or installation tasks.
- Conduct pipe fitting, assembly, pipe threading, service, repairs of fire sprinkler systems.
- Follow safety regulations by adhering to safety protocols related to power tool use, procedures and practices, and construction site safety standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed in compliance with codes & standards and other regulatory requirements
Experience
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting, ideally with at least 5 years exp.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with NFPA standards related to fire sprinkler systems installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of pipefitting, pipe installation methods including pipeline assembly and maintenance
- In the role of Sprinkler Fitter, experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocol adherence and power tool safety
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during service or installation

Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
