Assistant Clinical Director (ACD) (Remote)

Castle Rock Family Services
California, CA Remote Full Time
POSTED ON 9/21/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/20/2025

Castle Rock Family Services is a California-based mental health organization that helps our clients work towards social/emotional success. Our therapy practice specializes in working with youth, adults and couples that are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues and adjustment to life difficulties. We provide a multitude of services to school-aged children, teens, adults, couples and families. Clients have options for both virtual and in-person treatment.

The full-time Assistant Clinical Director is primarily focused on clinical team development and supervision. This leadership role includes direct supervision of up to six associates, ongoing clinical training, and support for documentation and metrics. The ACD will maintain a caseload of 20 clients weekly, while growing into expanded responsibilities over time, including hiring, recruiting, and training.

This is a fully remote opportunity and candidates should be available to telecommute from a home office with reliable internet access Monday through Friday.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate for this role is a dedicated clinical leader who finds purpose in guiding and developing other clinicians while continuing to provide high-quality care to clients. You are equally comfortable in sessions and in leadership meetings, balancing direct clinical work with the responsibilities of supervising and shaping a growing team.

You are deeply compassionate, bringing a client-centered approach to every interaction, and you extend that same care to the clinicians you supervise. You understand that supervision is not just about compliance or oversight, but about fostering confidence, skill, and resilience in those you mentor. You believe that leadership is more about serving than being served. Colleagues and supervisees would describe you as approachable, encouraging, and steady, even when challenges arise.

You value connection and know how to build trust within a team, supporting associates in their growth while also collaborating with licensed clinicians and leadership. You see data, documentation, and metrics not as tasks to check off, but as tools to ensure clients receive consistent, ethical, and effective care.

You are highly organized and thrive in balancing multiple priorities: maintaining your own caseload while overseeing supervision, training, and practice-wide quality goals. You embrace feedback, are eager to grow into expanded leadership responsibilities, and are motivated by the opportunity to eventually shape hiring, recruiting, and training processes.

Above all, you are committed to excellence in both clinical practice and leadership. You see your role as integral to upholding the practice’s mission and values of Compassion, Connection, Curiosity, and Commitment, ensuring that both clients and clinicians feel supported, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.
