What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Legal Assistant position at Castle Metals?

COMPENSATION: $20 - $22/hr
PURPOSE:
This position provides administrative and project management support to all members of the A. M. Castle & Co. legal department. Also assists with corporate governance, trade and compliance projects, database management, legal billing, matter management, and other critically important legal initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (performs other duties as assigned):
- Assist with the management of compliance and training programs.
- Review and revise NDAs, Terms and Conditions, and other basic commercial contracts in Word.
- Update corporate policies.
- Manage legal billing and matter management in Legal Tracker.
- Assist with filing of annual reports, business licenses, and registrations.
- Review and track budget periodically.
- Assist with corporate records retention program.
- Perform other administrative duties as necessary in support of the legal department.
