Responsibilities
- Actively participate in Task Hazard Analysis (THA) meetings
- Utilize common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
- Successfully complete required training to use personal arrest system
- Assist craft onsite
- Properly measure, mark, and cut various materials
- Must be a current member or be willing to join local #1140
- Knowledge of proper use of tools, materials, and supplies used on construction projects
- Previous experience in commercial and civil construction projects
- Experience in excavation/earthwork/underground utilities
- Proven commitment to safety and building relationships with a team
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- 10hr OSHA, Trench Excavation Training and Sewer Layer License a plus
- Minimum age 18
- Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
- Pre-employment drug screen required
