Description
The IT Support Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for all technical and operational issues, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the winery's diverse systems and facilities. This role involves comprehensive asset management, meticulous record-keeping, proactive maintenance, and effective coordination with external service providers. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, adaptable problem-solver with a strong understanding of both technical and operational processes, with a focus on securing company data and streamlining information access.
Responsibilities:
- Technical and Operational Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical and operational issues across the winery.
- Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and resolution of problems related to networked computing systems, printers, security systems, fire, elevator, alarm systems, phone, desk, cell, and radio communication systems, data/power storage and backup, lighting, electrical (including generators), and solar systems.
- Coordinate maintenance and inspections of fire alarm and elevator systems.
- Coordinate with external service providers for maintenance, inspections, permitting, and repairs.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all technical systems and data.
- Asset Management and Maintenance:
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive asset tracking system.
- Develop and execute routine maintenance schedules for all company assets, including backup and standby systems.
- Implement and maintain a general company-wide safety maintenance schedule.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Manage supplies inventory, track usage, perform preventative maintenance, and reorder supplies as needed.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Establish and maintain a robust documentation and records-keeping system using Microsoft 365 and other relevant tools.
- Organize and maintain historical records related to all aspects of company operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure consistent record-keeping practices and facilitate necessary updates.
- Implement and enforce data security protocols to protect company proprietary information.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company data and records.
- Establish and maintain department-related record-keeping systems for responsible parties and create and manage a comprehensive company contact "Directory."
- Maintain general and emergency contact information for all third-party vendors.
- Systems Administration and Implementation:
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 and other related software tools.
- Facilitate the smooth operation of networked computing systems, phone systems, security systems, and other technical infrastructure.
- Facilitate the transition of knowledge from outside vendors into internal documentation.
- Monitor and maintain security systems, including access control and surveillance.
- Operational Flexibility:
- Maintain a broad understanding of winery operations to provide temporary support in various roles as needed.
- Vendor Management:
- Work with external resources related to general maintenance, inspections, permitting.
- Ensure external vendors comply with company security policies and procedures.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- As these requirements will overlap with existing departments, work to facilitate information sharing and assist as needed to keep the information updated.

Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, Business Operations, or other related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT systems management, operations support, or a similar role.
- Experience in the winery, hospitality, or manufacturing industries is a plus.
This is a part-time non-exempt role with the potential to transition into full-time in the future, based on business needs.
The hourly rate is $24 to $32 per hour (DOE).
