Job Description: This role is a unique mix of technical skills relating to performance measurement, data management, and process improvement, as well as customer success management skills building goodwill, promoting services and clearly committing groups towards alignment and performance. This role is accountable to oversee all elements of the strategic partnership between Castell and its provider partners including oversight of performance management across multiple payers and payer programs. This will requires working effectively with clinic executives, boards, managers, staff, and physicians. This role oversees and coordinates the work of various groups throughout Castell from non-Intermountain and Intermountain-employed clinics and providers, insurance groups (SelectHealth, other third-party payers), and Castell Clinical Operations. This role is hybrid in nature, but requires in-person meetings and collaboration, both with internal stakeholders and external customers/providers. Therefore we will only consider candidates based in Utah or with willingness to relocate to Utah. Scope Oversees the provider relations for the Utah region and responsible for provider relations with multiple provider stakeholders. Essentials An essential part of the role is to understand and effectively resolve provider concerns, maintain executive influence to hold clinic groups accountable, and build provider engagement and loyalty. It is a highly complex position that consists of both hard and soft skills. Outcomes that a Network Operations Director is responsible for include: Group and clinic-level performance across risk arrangements Recruit new customers to align with Castell Retain existing customers through relationship management and executive influence Coordinate implementation of Castell services at partner clinics based on performance benchmarks Develop and maintain effective business relationships with providers and clinic staff Anticipate, position, and execute the roll out of new and existing Castell Services Each of these outcomes will create value for Castell by expanding its customer base and increasing performance of clinics within that customer base. Other Essentials Develops and maintains effective business relationships with group executives while managing localized support. Maintains a system to visit or delegate support for each practitioner and participating providers on a regular basis. Functions as an intermediary between providers of the network and the organization. Proactively connects clinics, based upon their performance gaps, with Castell services and oversees implementation of those services. Able to present data insights and strategies to provider group and drive performance changes within the group through leadership and consultative guidance. Works with providers and provider groups across a given geographic area focused on performance management. Manages the process of contracting new and existing provider groups with Castell. Develops and manages a system of regular visits to target providers to educate them about Population Health products and review reports relevant to their practices. Commits to action when necessary. Ensures the maintenance of a current provider roster for performance reporting purposes. Able to help make connections across Intermountain system-wide integrated issues such as rate changes, cost trends, panel management, and physician practice patterns. Furthers education about strategies and products with practitioners and their office staff, reviews management information reports, and functions as a liaison. Provides continuous orientation and training for all participating provider business office staff. Manages the development and maintenance of an effective and continuous communication program for many providers, including those who may have limited knowledge about population health. Manages the formulation of policy regarding systems and activities; the level and nature of integration with the practitioner community. Provides a continuous evaluation of the communication system and recommend design and delivery method changes. Leads education about network participation criteria and helps educate providers and clinics on how to be successful in various payment models. Responsible to help coordinate any issues or concerns that may arise between the clinic and Castell. Works to ensure clinics are delivering the highest possible care and has appropriate interoperability with Castell. Helps recruit providers to participate in Castell’s Medicare ACO and other payer programs. Advocate for provider groups by anticipating potential barriers, capitalizing on opportunity to partner, and ensure Castell is included in key clinic conversations. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a business-related field Five years in a management or a professional level position Other Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a business-related field Experience in a complex matrixed healthcare organization Health insurance, provider contracting or provider relations experience or experience working in a clinical setting doing practice management work. Experience doing customer success management work in the healthcare space Ability to think and communicate strategically on various health care related topics. Effective presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Computer business applications proficiency.
