Job Summary
Castalia Systems is currently searching for a Data Scientist to join our exciting new program. Qualified candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of common machine learning techniques and their application. Candidates should also understand the limitations of these algorithms and how to tweak them or derive from them to achieve similar results at large-scale.
Roles and Responsibilities
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of Machine Learning algorithms, intelligent agents, or optimization solutions for enterprise applications leveraging the C3 AI Suite.
- Assist and enable C3 AIs federal customers to build their own applications on the C3 AI Suite.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features of the C3 AI Suite.
Required Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research or equivalent fields with 10 years of experience in data science
- Applied Machine Learning experience (regression and classification, supervised and unsupervised learning).
- Strong mathematical background (statistics, linear algebra, calculus, probability, and optimization).
- Ability to dive into a large ML codebase to debug and improve it.
- Ability to drive a project and work both independently and in a team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Production experience with Generative AI
- Experience with deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or application of large language models (RAG, Agentic, etc.).
- Understanding of optimization (constrained, stochastic, convex and non-convex optimization problems)
