Job Summary
Under the direction of the Site Administrator or designee, assists the Preschool or TK Instructor in the supervision and implementation of developmentally appropriate instructional activities for preschool or TK age children. Assists in providing experiences to promote the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative development of young children. Assists the instructor in assessing and evaluating the developmental levels of the children. Performs a variety of instructional support and student care activities and performs a variety of related duties in the maintenance of an effective learning environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination and be free of communicable diseases. Must meet district and state standards for physical and mental health. 2. High school diploma or equivalency. 3. Able to pass District Proficiency Examination. 4. Six Early Childhood Education units required for preschool, desired for TK 5. Hold or obtain within the first month of employment a valid infant/child CPR certificate and first aid certificate.
