Job Description

CNC MILL PROGRAMMER OPERATOR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program, Set-Up and Operation of CNC MILL to produce precision machined die castings. Write and test programs, make adjustments as needed and ensure the machine operates correctly and parts are cut to perfection.
• Translate prints and specifications into computer-readable instructions for the machine.
• Setting up the machine with correct tooling, materials and parameters.
• Machine Operation, including monitoring the machine during operation; ensuring it adheres to the programmed instructions.
• Ensures the finished parts meet quality standards - inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and reporting any discrepancies.
• Aid in making machine fixtures.
• Communicate with team members including Maintenance, Supervisors, Quality and Co-Workers regarding any machine issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 Years of CNC Program/Operator Experience required. CNC MILL.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed prints to understand the required specifications and dimensions of the parts.
• The handling of raw materials, including loading and unloading them from the machine.
• Strong understanding of machine tools, programming languages, and the principles of machining.
• Critical thinking skills to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical and programming issues that arise during operation.
• Computer skills required to use computer software for programming and machine control.
• Mechanical aptitude to be comfortable with tools and a good understanding of how the machine works.
• Flexibility to work extra hours when needed.
• Ability to problem solve and multitask.
