Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast
- Educate on menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly
- Build positive guest relations through personalized service, addressing needs or concerns proactively
- Support other team members during busy shifts to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of Toast
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous server experience is desirable, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members alike
