Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. If you are passionate about oral health and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you. Our Dental Staff works four days a week; 40 hours per week.

Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (Epic)
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Michigan
- Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting
- Familiarity with dental software Dentrix for managing patient records desired
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
