Cassis is a modern French bistro which opened in January 2026 at 333 N. Water Street in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. Led by Kyle and Meghan Knall of Birch, Cassis is rooted in the belief that meaningful and thoughtful hospitality creates lasting experiences. With modern French dishes, an extensive wine list, and a welcoming atmosphere, we aim to make every guest feel genuinely cared for from start to finish.
Position: Busser
As a Busser at Cassis, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both the front and back of house teams. Your focus will be on anticipating guest needs, assisting servers, and ensuring the dining room runs smoothly. You’ll help create a polished, welcoming environment where hospitality and attention to detail set the tone for every guest’s experience.
What We’re Looking For

- Ability to stay organized and efficient in a busy environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays is mandatory.
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required—enthusiasm and reliability are most important.
What You’ll Do
- Assist servers and bartenders
- Restock and maintain supplies at service stations including polishing glassware and silverware.
- Keep the dining room, floors, and service areas tidy and presentable.
- Support the flow of service so that every guest feels cared for and valued.
