Overview:
The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for supporting providers, ensuring seamless clinic flow, and delivering an elevated patient experience. This role blends clinical support, patient care, operational execution, and sales support through education. The MA plays a key role in both the clinic's efficiency and revenue performance.
Hours:
- 5 days per week (8-hour shifts)
- 1 Saturday per month required
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Experience
- Greet, prepare, and room patients in a warm, professional, and timely manner
- Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality at all times
- Reinforce provider recommendations and ensure patients feel informed and confident
- Provide clear pre- and post-care instructions
Clinical Support
- Assist providers during treatments as needed
- Prepare all products, syringes, and equipment according to protocol
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Support accurate and timely EMR documentation
Clinic Flow & Efficiency
- Maintain efficient room turnover to support on-time scheduling
- Anticipate the provider's needs to ensure seamless treatments
- Assist in managing daily flow to minimize delays and optimize productivity
Inventory & Operations
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment rooms
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock proactively
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks
Communication & Team Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with providers, front desk, and leadership
- Escalate patient concerns or operational issues appropriately
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic environment
KPI Tracking & Accountability
- Maintain awareness of clinic goals (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Participate in daily tracking of key metrics (flow, retail support, rebooking support)
- Contribute to provider efficiency and overall clinic revenue
- Engage with tracking tools and systems as required
Educate to Sell (Support Role)
- Reinforce provider recommendations for treatments, skincare, and follow-up
- Confidently review basic skincare usage and post-care instructions
- Support conversations around retail, packages, and memberships
- Help drive patient understanding, trust, and long-term retention
