Registered Nurse RN

Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is part-time with the opportunity to increase hours and transition to full-time for candidates interested in additional shifts.

As a Registered Nurse at Newton, you’ll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents, administer medications, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Position Type: Full-Time

Shifts Available:

Night: 10:00pm to 6:00am

Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:

• Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff
• Works to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care
• Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software
• Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary
  
  

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:

• Must have a current Iowa RN license and be in good standing
• Must have CPR certification or willing to obtain
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team
