Activities Director Responsibilities:
Stoney Point Senior Living is a 95-unit senior living community, located in West Cedar Rapids. Our site features art amenities to promote independent living: a work out room, theater, ice cream parlor, restaurant style dining and more! We are proud to have received the 2025 Customer Experience Award in categories for quality of food, dining services, and cleanliness. Our six acre campus is located on Stoney Point Road and 16th Ave; easily accessible!

Activities Director Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule Activities calendar for residents and administer these activities.
- Promote physical exercise, social interaction, emotional support and involvement
- Prepare monthly newsletter for residents and family members.
- Oversee Activities Assistant in Memory Care
- Perform additional tasks as needed
- One year of Activities experience
- Certified as an activity's director through Iowa Healthcare Association or willing to get certification
- Is compassionate, motivated, and a self-starter
- Desire to work with the elderly in an assisted living setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
- Functional knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information
- Ability to manage diverse individuals and multiple priorities at once
