What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant Part-Time position at Casselton Veterinary Service, Inc.?
Casselton Veterinary Service, Inc. is seeking animal lovers to work in our Fargo Boarding and Grooming facility as Part-Time Kennel Staff. Candidates should have availability to work 2-3 evenings per week Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 9 PM and every other weekend working split shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. These rotating weekends are mandatory due to scheduling needs of the facility. Animal handling experience is ideal, but we will train the right candidates. At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities will include:
- Handling, supervising, feeding, medicating and bathing dogs and cats.
- Interacting with customers.
- Answering multi-line telephone.
- Use scheduling software to set up new clients, make or modify reservations/appointments, check pets in and out and collecting payment from clients.
- Constant cleaning of kennels, equipment and grounds.
Requirements:
- Experience working with animals not required but a plus - will train the right individuals
- Understanding of animal mannerisms/willingness to learn
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Work as a team but at the same time, be able to work independently.
- Follow a detailed daily checklist and log activities when completed.
- Available to work rotating weekends and occasional/rotating holidays.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- Handle both dogs and cats comfortably and professionally.
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
