Delivery Driver

Description

• Drivers receive $10.70 per hour, paid weekly.
• Paid Daily: $3.69 per Delivery Fee Plus tips
• Drivers can make $20-$25 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

A Driver primarily delivers pizzas, subs, and other Company products, using a personal vehicle, to customer locations using the most efficient route and must be able and willing to perform all crew member functions as necessary.

EDUCATION
No High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• 18 years of age or older.
• A personal vehicle that is properly insured and meets safety requirements as per Company standards, and as required by the State of Ohio.
• A valid driver’s license and no moving violations in the past 36 months.
• Provide proof of insurance when requested.
• Pass State of Ohio physical requirements for auto licensing.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes assessing needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Basic math and Computer skills.
• English language, including the meaning of words and grammar.

MINIMUM CAPABILITIES

• Work at a fast pace.
• Participate in various forms of training.
• Pass required tests.
• Read and understand rules and instructions.
• Reach, see, talk, hear, stand, and walk quickly for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Lift and carry 50 pounds at various times.
• Read maps or find a specified route using other mapping resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Drive personal vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and deliver food products.
• Determine the best route for delivering food products to customers’ locations, following all traffic laws.
• Collect payment from customers and calculate monetary exchange.
• Use established traffic or transportation policies and procedures.
• Secure all items for each order before leaving the store (chips, soda, side items, etc.).
• Answer customer questions and concerns regarding Company products and services.
• Stack or piles containers, materials, or products.
• Place food and beverages in take-out containers for customers.
• Provide and portray proper and professional customer service.
• Listen to oral instructions to determine work assignment.
• Arrive promptly to work each scheduled day in proper uniform.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed.
• Must be able to deliver customer orders in inclement weather.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all crew member essential functions when needed (see Crew Member Job Description).
• Learn and perform other positions as needed.
• Use professional and proper oral and written communication techniques.
• Use knowledge of food handling rules.
• Understand Company and government food service regulations.
